Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 01/August/2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases, subscriptions, instant service bookings, and transactions conducted through Unjob.ai (“Unjob”, “Platform”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By using the Platform, all users, including clients, hiring parties, freelancers, creators, and buyers (“Users”), agree to this Policy.

1. Nature of Platform

Unjob is a technology marketplace platform that facilitates connections between clients and independent freelancers/service providers.

Freelancers listed on the Platform are independent third parties and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of Unjob unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Unjob facilitates payments, service workflows, communication tools, freelancer assignment, and dispute handling mechanisms but does not guarantee:

  • specific project outcomes;
  • freelancer availability beyond the applicable booking;
  • business results;
  • client satisfaction where the delivered work meets the agreed requirements and references; or
  • completion of revisions within a specific timeframe after the first submission.

2. Types of Transactions

2.1 Subscriptions

Recurring monthly or annual payments made by users to access premium features, hiring tools, growth plans, or additional Platform functionality.

2.2 Instant Service Bookings

Predefined services listed and managed through Unjob at fixed pricing and with a specified initial delivery timeline.

For Instant Service Bookings, freelancers may be assigned by Unjob based on availability, expertise, performance history, rankings, operational requirements, and other relevant factors.

Unjob does not offer custom services, custom freelance gigs, or independently listed custom services through the Platform under this Policy.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 All Instant Service Bookings require 100% advance payment before work is initiated unless otherwise specified by Unjob.

3.2 Payments are processed through authorized payment partners integrated with the Platform.

3.3 Freelancers become eligible for withdrawal in accordance with Unjob’s internal payout process after the applicable service has been completed, approved, or otherwise become eligible for payout under the Platform workflow.

3.4 Unjob may deduct applicable:

  • platform fees;
  • commissions;
  • taxes;
  • payment gateway charges;
  • penalties; and
  • dispute-related adjustments

before releasing payouts to freelancers.

4. Subscription Refund Policy

4.1 All subscription payments, including monthly and annual plans, are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

4.2 Users may cancel their subscription renewal at any time. However, cancellation of renewal does not entitle the User to a refund for any unused portion of the current subscription period.

4.3 No partial, prorated, or usage-based refunds shall be provided for subscription plans, except where required by applicable law.

5. Instant Service Booking Refund Policy

5.1 First Submission Timeline

The delivery timeline displayed or mentioned for an Instant Service Booking applies specifically to the first submission or first meaningful iteration of the work.

A refund may be eligible where the freelancer fails to provide the first submission within the timeline specified for that service, subject to the terms of this Policy.

The first submission may include the first meaningful version, draft, edit, design, or other initial deliverable reasonably corresponding to the service purchased.

5.2 Full Refund for Failure to Make First Submission Within Timeline

If the freelancer fails to provide the first submission within the timeline specified on the relevant service, and the delay is attributable to the freelancer, the client may be eligible for a full refund.

Unjob may review the order, Platform communications, timestamps, service requirements, and other relevant information before processing the refund.

5.3 First Submission Delivered Within Timeline

If the freelancer provides the first submission within the timeline specified on the service, the client shall not be eligible for a refund solely because subsequent revisions take additional time.

The service timeline does not constitute a guaranteed deadline for completing every subsequent revision.

Once the first submission has been delivered within the applicable timeline, subsequent revisions may be completed on a case-by-case basis depending on:

  • the size of the revision;
  • complexity of the revision;
  • number of changes requested;
  • scope of the requested changes;
  • technical requirements;
  • availability of the assigned freelancer; and
  • other operational circumstances.

Many revisions may be completed within a few hours; however, Unjob does not guarantee a fixed completion period for revisions.

5.4 Client Delays and Revision Requests

A refund shall not be eligible where the first submission was delivered within the applicable service timeline and additional time is required because of:

  • delayed client feedback;
  • delayed approval by the client;
  • delayed revision requests;
  • multiple or extensive revision requests;
  • changes in requirements after the first submission;
  • failure of the client to respond promptly;
  • client-requested changes to previously approved requirements; or
  • any other delay attributable to the client.

The freelancer shall remain entitled to payment in accordance with the Platform’s applicable payout process.

5.5 Client Approval or Review Delays

If the freelancer submits the first submission within the applicable service timeline, but the client:

  • shares data / assets late;
  • reviews the work late;
  • approves the work late;
  • requests revisions after a delay;
  • takes additional time to provide feedback; or
  • otherwise delays the continuation of the service,

such delay shall not create a refund entitlement.

The client cannot claim a refund merely because the overall time from booking to final approval exceeds the original first-submission timeline.

5.6 Freelancer Unable to Complete Revisions After First Submission

If a freelancer successfully provides the first submission within the service timeline but subsequently becomes unable to complete requested revisions due to unforeseen circumstances, Unjob may assign a replacement freelancer to complete the remaining work.

Examples of unforeseen circumstances may include illness, emergencies, technical issues, or other circumstances that prevent the original freelancer from continuing the assignment.

In such circumstances, where the first submission was delivered within the applicable service timeline, the client shall generally not be eligible for a refund solely because the original freelancer could not complete the revisions.

Unjob may instead arrange for a replacement freelancer to complete the remaining revisions.

6. Quality-Based Refunds

6.1 Quality Compared With References

Where a client raises a quality-related complaint, Unjob may evaluate the delivered work against:

  • the reference material provided by the client at the time of booking;
  • examples or references displayed on the relevant service listing;
  • the requirements communicated through the Platform; and
  • the scope and specifications of the purchased service.

6.2 Quality Matches the Reference

If the quality, style, execution, or overall standard of the delivered work reasonably matches the reference material provided by the client or the existing work references displayed for the service, the client shall not be eligible for a refund solely due to subjective dissatisfaction or preference.

The availability of revisions does not by itself create a refund entitlement where the delivered work reasonably conforms to the applicable references and service requirements.

6.3 Quality Does Not Match the Reference

If Unjob determines that the delivered work materially fails to match the reference material, examples, requirements, or quality standard represented at the time of booking, the client may be eligible for a partial or full refund, depending on:

  • the extent of the quality discrepancy;
  • the amount of work already completed;
  • whether the issue can reasonably be corrected through revisions;
  • the nature of the service;
  • the evidence available on the Platform; and
  • other relevant circumstances.

Unjob shall determine the appropriate resolution on a case-by-case basis.

7. Revisions

Revisions are intended to allow the client to request reasonable changes to the first submission in accordance with the purchased service.

The existence of a revision option does not create a guaranteed deadline for completion of every revision.

The time required to complete revisions may vary based on the size, complexity, technical requirements, number of changes, and nature of the requested revisions.

Clients are expected to provide clear and timely feedback through the Platform.

Requests that materially alter the original requirements or expand the scope of the purchased service may be treated differently from ordinary revisions.

8. Cancellation After Booking

Once an Instant Service Booking has been placed and work has commenced, cancellation does not automatically create a refund entitlement.

Where the freelancer has already submitted the first iteration within the applicable service timeline, a client cancellation or refusal to continue with the service shall generally not qualify for a refund.

Unjob may review exceptional cases involving material service failures, fraud, or other circumstances requiring intervention.

9. Off-Platform Transactions

9.1 Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • requesting off-platform payments;
  • bypassing Platform commissions; or
  • soliciting direct transactions outside Unjob.

9.2 Unjob shall not be responsible for losses, fraud, disputes, chargebacks, or damages arising from transactions conducted outside the Platform.

9.3 Any attempt to bypass the Platform may result in:

  • account suspension;
  • permanent bans;
  • payout holds;
  • ranking reduction;
  • legal action; or
  • forfeiture of earnings,

subject to applicable law.

10. Evidence & Communication

10.1 Unjob shall primarily consider communications, files, approvals, revision requests, references, timestamps, service requirements, and commitments recorded within the Platform when evaluating refund and dispute requests.

10.2 External communications including WhatsApp, Telegram, email, phone calls, Google Meet, Discord, or similar channels may not be accepted as valid evidence where the relevant information was not also recorded or verifiable through the Platform.

11. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

11.1 Users initiating fraudulent chargebacks or payment reversals may face:

  • immediate account suspension;
  • recovery proceedings;
  • permanent restrictions; or
  • legal action.

11.2 Unjob reserves the right to recover associated costs, penalties, and chargeback fees from users involved in disputed transactions, subject to applicable law.

12. Project Completion & Dispute Window

12.1 An Instant Service Booking shall be considered completed once:

  • the client marks the project as approved/completed on the Platform; or
  • the project is automatically marked completed in accordance with the Platform workflow.

12.2 Once a project has been completed and approved, no refund shall normally be processed.

12.3 In the event of a dispute relating to completed work, the client must raise a formal dispute or support request within 2 working days from the date of project completion.

12.4 After expiry of the 2-working-day dispute window:

  • the transaction shall generally be deemed final;
  • payouts may be permanently released to the freelancer; and
  • Unjob shall have no obligation to investigate, mediate, recover funds, or provide dispute resolution support.

12.5 Unjob reserves the right to reject disputes raised after the permitted dispute window, except where required under applicable law or in cases involving fraud, legal violations, or payment-related investigations.

13. Refund Processing Timeline

Approved refunds are generally processed within 7–14 business days, depending on:

  • payment method;
  • banking partner;
  • payment gateway; and
  • regulatory processing timelines.

Unjob does not control delays caused by third-party financial institutions.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unjob shall not be liable for:

  • indirect losses;
  • business interruption;
  • loss of profits;
  • freelancer misconduct;
  • subjective dissatisfaction with work that meets the applicable service requirements and references;
  • missed opportunities; or
  • consequential damages arising from Platform use.

Unjob’s maximum liability in any dispute shall not exceed the amount paid by the User for the disputed transaction, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

15. Abuse Prevention

Unjob reserves the right to deny refunds, suspend accounts, or restrict Platform access where Users are found to:

  • abuse refund systems;
  • repeatedly cancel projects;
  • manipulate disputes;
  • submit false claims;
  • exploit freelancers; or
  • engage in fraudulent activity.

16. Final Decision Authority

All refund, cancellation, dispute, and moderation decisions made by Unjob shall be final and binding, subject to applicable law.

Unjob reserves the right to modify this Policy from time to time. Updated versions shall become effective from the date specified in the revised Policy.

17. Contact & Dispute Requests

To request a refund or raise a dispute, Users may contact [email protected] with:

  • registered account details;
  • booking details;
  • screenshots and payment receipt;
  • relevant service references;
  • details of the first submission and applicable timeline; and
  • a detailed explanation of the dispute with supporting evidence.

All refund requests shall be evaluated in accordance with this Policy and the information available on the Platform.
